Fox Parties is a webstore that aims to be the destination for the fashion-forward girl. At F.P., we embrace the individuality of every girl, and hope that our apparels will allow girls to showcase their very own personal style.
As such, our display concept would follow a minimalist theme seeing as our apparels will vary in colour and style. This can already be seen in our main website, which has a stark white background and a simple typeface. Our store logo also features a simple font.
IDEA AND CONCEPT
Our display concept for our booth during Open House would be for our booth to look like a well-curated walk-in wardrobe of a girl. We want our booth to look like a walk-in wardrobe as we will also be bringing in jewellery, bags, and shoes for the Open house. As such, our display concept would be product-centric.
Our inspiration draws from:
The main colour scheme of the booth will be white, to follow our minimalist theme. We will be using white tablecloth to cover the tables, and the racks we use would be preferably white. The hangers we use should also have white or wood finishes.
To make our booth look more like a walk-in wardrobe with personalized touches instead of looking just like a "shop", we will be using props such as fashion magazines and magazine cut-outs/moodboards. The placement of our stocks will also be less formal, with accessories "randomly" strewn about to add to the personalized and individualized look of our booth. Our jewellery will also be displayed in a stand like this:
Our jewellery will be placed on the table, so that these small items are within our sight and this can also help us prevent theft. As we will be performing cash transactions on the table as well, this can also encourage impulse purchasing.
We will also require the use of a full length mirror, so that customers can visualize how our products look on them, as so:
The mirror also adds on to the walk-in wardrobe theme.
We also would like to use one or two half-body mannequins to further enhance our visual merchandising, as we can showcase how to match our apparels, and perhaps this would encourage our customers to buy our apparels as a set. It will also allow us to showcase the latest trends in dressing, and can satisfy a personal motive for shopping - learning new trends.
As there is a possibility of us bringing in shoes to sell for Open House, we would like to bring in a small short stool for the convenience of our customers to try on shoes.
The fashion display units we will use are 2-way racks, and a display table - preferably a nesting table.
Our products will be placed facing the front, which is the walkway where customers will pass by. This VM principle is Facing. This is so that customers can see the apparel design and be attracted to shop at our booth. Our apparels which are hanging on the racks will also have sufficient Finger Space between the so that it is easy for our customers to take items off the rack.
Another VM principle we would be using is Full Stock Up. We will have to ensure that our clothes rack is full at all times and items sold should be replaced in their displays if possible. The advantages of this would be that it will help to push sales. Also, this is in line with our theme of a walk-in wardrobe.
Apparels will be displayed either by colour or length, depending on the total amount and range of stock we have on hand by Open House. Jewellery will be displayed by type/size, which is necklaces, bracelets and rings together, and hair accessories.
